SEE-July29th: Lebanese Environmentalists sank 10 old army tanks in city of Sidon in the Mediterranean Sea yesterday.  They believe that reef will cover up the tanks turning them into a piece of art by creating an "underwater park", the city will be a tourist attraction.

According to AFP, Kamel Kozbar, from 'Friends of the Coast of Sidon', said "This will be a paradise for pers and a place where we can develop underwater life."

He hopes seaweed will soon cover the tanks, a gift from the army, creating the group's vision of an "underwater park"  a space far away from the beaches which could not escape Lebanon's overflowing rubbish crisis.

Lebanon has been dealing with rubbish and pollution issue since January. Beaches of Beirut is still piled with rubbish and some of them were declared “unfit for swimming,” according to a recent research by the National Council for Scientific Research.
