CAIRO, March.20 (SEE)- International football federation (FIFA) said on Tuesday that North and South Korea both expressed interest in hosting the upcoming 2023 Women World Cup.

This isn't the first time both Koreas held a joint sports activity ,as they formed unified teams to compete in winter Olympic Games. It is worth to mention that nine countries have expressed interest in hosting the 2023 Women World Cup.

Both Koreas have been involved in many joint political activities aimed at a better future for the once unified nations, as earlier last year Korean Leader Kim Jung Un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in signed a peace treaty, which was closely followed by a Joint summit between the North Korean Leader and US President Donald Trump in order to work towards a nuclear disarmament solution for North Korea, which would see the state relinquish their nuclear arsenal .
