CAIRO, JULY 29 (SEE) The Ministry of Antiquities has completed the rehabilitation of the corridors located in the second axis within the temple of Karnak, which extends between the seventh and tenth edifices, in accordance with the Ministry's plan to rehabilitate the sites and museums to be accessible to visitors with special needs.

Mustafa Waziri Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities said on Sunday that by paving these corridors, the Karnak Temple will become the first archaeological site prepared for the reception of visitors with special needs.

Waziri added that the old restoration carried out during the 1990s is replaced by the latest means to preserve the monuments. The renovation of the inner halls of Khonsu Temple and the statues of King Seti II in Wadjet Hall have also been completed.

The Karnak is one of the greatest temples built by ancient Egyptians. It is a historical record of civilization from the Middle Kingdom until the Ptolemaic rule.
