CAIRO, Mar .13. (SEE)- Jeep announced that the iconic American automaker will launch a seven-seat companion for the Grand Cherokee to its showrooms in 2019.Jeep head Mike Manley, reported that Jeep brand firmly intends to slot a three-row large SUV between it and the Grand Cherokee, and will technically play in the same segment as Grand Cherokee. It will be an all new model rather than a rehash of the only seven-seat Jeep currently in production the Chinese market ''Jeep Grand Commander''. While fractionally longer than the Grand Cherokee, the Grand Commander is both narrower and lower and likely wouldn’t offer thec abin space desired by Western markets though the power and torque outputs of its 2.0-litre turbo petrol 201kW and 400Nm.Also, the new SUV is expected to be offered with Jeep’s new plug-in hybrid powertrain.
