When an Indonesian muslim official announces the first day of Ramadan in Indonesia, the whole country would celebrate with "Kolak", "Randang" and flower carnivals. Indonesia's Ramadan Celebration is very important and ancient since Islam had entered the country during the 7th century.

In Java Island these carnivals, or “Dugdiran,” depend on decorating houses and streets with flowers and graphics. All family dressed the "Batik" that is decorated with natural draws, and then they walk in streets in groups using drums, music and dancing.

The carnivals are dubbed throughout  the country in different names; like in the capital city ,Jakarta, the carnivals are known as "Nyourog".
