CAIRO, Nov.20 (SEE)- Egyptian Taekwondo Champion Hedaya Malak earned the gold medal at the French Open Taekwondo to earn the sum of 40 points needed to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.
Malak defeated the Monaco Champion 24-0, then the Belgian Champion 12-1, then the Australian champion 17-6, then the Gabon champion 4-6, before moving on to the final and defeating the Croatian Champ via forfeit after the later quit because of an injury.
