Zahi Hawass, the egyptologist and former minister of antiquities, told (SEE) that the latest Notre Dame Cathedral’s fire flared up on Monday is a great loss to France and the whole mankind.

It was such a sad day for people in the whole world, as the historic Cathedral is priceless and indispensable.

“This traumatic incident distorted one of the most critical monuments and distinct artwork,” he added.

Hawass denied that the incident was done intentionally but it was a clear result of negligence.

“Notre Dame Cathedral’s value for European people is more like “Khufu” pyramid to Egyptians”.

The fire destroyed the cathedral’s spire and its roof but spared most of the structure, including the church’s twin medieval bell towers.

It’s remarkable that the French President Emmanuel Macron pledged yesterday to rebuild Paris’ beloved Notre Dame Cathedral even more beautifully.

He stated that renovation should take place within five years.

In the same context, French billionaires and companies announced yesterday they will pay more than $700 million to rebuild Notre Dame Cathedral aftermath the devastating fire.

LVMH Group, owned by Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, and Givenchy, said they will donate €200 million ($226 million).

These donation reflects solidarity over the national tragedy to rebuild the symbol of French heritage and unity.

LVMH will provide its innovative and financial teams to support the reconstruction and direct donations.
