CAIRO, Jan. 17 (SEE)- Dr. Ashraf Mansour, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the German University in Cairo (GUC), gifted Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar the "Gate of Hope" slogan, which was put up inside the main entrance hall at the University of Ulm in Württemberg, Germany.

The slogan is an architectural design of a transit gate- that integrates the mottos of both universities-called the “Gate of Hope,” denoting that Egypt is the portal for German higher education in Africa and the Arab world.

The GUC’s slogan tops the scene in-front of the slogan of the University of Ulm, which demonstrates the importance and great surpass of the GUC. Mansour’s name is carved on the “Gate of Hope” next to University of Ulm’s President Professor Michael Weber’s name.

Actually, the University of Ulm is one of the first universities in the world to successfully implement cross-border higher education.

This came during the presence of Dr. Hisham Arafat, Minister of Transport, Major General Mohammed Al-Assar, Minister of Military Production, Dr. Ali Al-Meselhi, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, a number of state officials and Christian Tunis, Chairman of DMG Mori.
