Cairo, Jan. 4 (SEE) - In response to the initiative announced by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to improve the living conditions of the poor communities in Egypt, executive authorities as well as community associations started to put plans for implementation.

Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Waly met yesterday with a number of civil associations to coordinate relevant efforts.

The discussions tackled data about the poorest communities and needed utilities, Almasry Elyoum newspaper reported.

The data was based on studies conducted by the ministry about around 32 million citizens, and relate to financial, health, education, income and employment aspects, in what known as multidimensional poverty maps.

On other hand, Deputy Population Minister Raeda Elmenshawy said that there is a committee formed by PM to put executive plans for the national program aims at establishing sanitation projects at the poorest villages, with partial fund from the society itself. In this regard, 347 villages located at 17 governorates were selected.

The initiative of ‘Good Life’ was announced two days ago by President El Sisi in a post on presidential account on facebook, where he hailed the Egyptians for their faithful sacrifices and named them the 'true heros'. He called upon them to participate with the official and executive authorities, under his auspices, to help provide ‘good life’ for the most needed groups during the new year.
