Ghabbour to Pump EGP500 mln in Egyptian Auto Market

CAIRO, Nov. 18 (SEE) - Ghabbour Group Automobile Company intends to pump investments worth of EGP500 million into the Egyptian market, according to Almal newspaper on Wednesday.

These investments will be distributed among after sales and maintenance services and branches, as the agent of Hyundai and Geely brands, is going to set to establish new five maintenance centers in various areas nationwide.

Ghabbour restudies locally assembled cars by entering new models in the market in the next period, in the same time, production of some models will be stopped by the end of this year, including Geely's Envy.

In the 10 months of 2018, Ghabbour's market share reached 30% of the total of car sales, according to a report published by the Automotive Market Information Council (AMIC).

About 24,017 Hyundai cars were sold this year with a market share of 25% as well as 3,505 Geely cars with a market share of 3.9%.
