Golden King Toutankhamon is considered to be Ancient Egypt’s Ambassador to the entire world. Archeologist Professor Hussein Bassir revealed why Toutankhamon’s Amulet was chosen as the official logo for the African Cup of Nations 2019.
Bassir said that he was the only king whose entire sarcophagus was discovered on the 4th of November in 1922, and he ruled the country while still a youth and died young.
The archaeologist assured that the choice of Toutankhamon logo was made because he is the most famous Egyptian person on the planet. He is a symbol for Egypt around the world; this is why his life and death, in addition to discovering his sarcophagus are legend that roam the Earth.
Toutankhamon is one of the black skinned pharaohs, who’s pictures were taken guarding his sarcophagus, so his choice could be accepted fondly by our black skinned brothers in Africa.
