French President's Wife Visits Mohamed Ali Mosque

CAIRO, Jan. 29 (SEE)- The French president's wife Mrs. Brigitte Macron visited the Mosque of Mohamed Ali castle during her visit to Egypt in 28th January 2019 in Monday afternoon.

The French Culture minister and the French ambassador in Cairo accompanied Mrs. Macron to meet the president of Islamic, Christian and Jewish archeology sector professor Gamal Mustafa, who took them in a tour that lasted for an hour.

Mrs. Brigitte visited the Mosque and the tomb of Mohamed Ali and tea stall of king Farouk, and listened to religious nomination and praise of the Prophet by El-Sheikh Said El-Rifai, who were in the area during the visit.

She also toured Panorama Castle area, where she enjoyed watching Cairo and the Islamic Antiquities. She was given souvenirs and took photos at Panorama Castle area and tea stall.

Fatma Abd-Allah, the tour guide that specialized in Egyptology, said the First Lady of France was impressed by the mosque and the tomb, and the main details of its architectural elements that was used in decorating it from inside.
