Foreign Minister heads to Ethiopia for participate in AU Commission

CAIRO, Sept 11 (SEE) – Egypt FM Sameh Shoukry is flying on Tuesday to Addis Ababa to attend a ministerial retreat meetings for the reform of the African Union Commission, scheduled for September 12-13.

The meetings aim to discuss ways of reforming the union and carry out administrative and financial audit in 2016 and 2017.

Official spokesman Ahmed Abo Zeid said: "The meetings will cover discussions over the AU reform process and what has been achieved to ensure the competence of the commission and a follow up on the execution of recommendations in the future financial and administrative revision.''

The foreign minister is expected to hold bilateral meetings with his African counterparts on the sidelines of the meetings.
