Events and concerts rock Cairo nights every single day, so today SEE recommends five different shows to attend this month.

Here are the best five events taking place in Cairo during this Month

1.Metropolitan Opera Dialogues des Carmelites

A show of Dialogues des Carmelites will be broadcasted live from the Metropolitan Opera in New York City at Malak Gabr Arts Theater, AUC. The show will be held on May 11 at 18:00  CLT.

Tickets to the performance are available online for EGP 110. Dialogues of the Carmelites is an opera in three acts, pided into twelve scenes.

2.Acacia band 

If you are a lover of folkloric songs, you can go to Darb1718 Contemporary Art and Culture Center in Cairo, and enjoy the concert of Acacia band.

The band will present its concert on May 16 at 21:30 CLT, so you can book your ticket online for EGP 100.

Acacia band, an Egyptian folk band from Luxor, performs folkloric songs about upper Egypt.

3.Sheikh Mahmoud Zain

As the whole Arab world is celebrating Ramadan, Sheikh Mahmoud Zain, a religious singer, will present a musical show on May 17 at 21:30 CLT.

The concert will be held at Darb 1718 Contemporary Art and Culture Center in Cairo. If you are a lover of religious songs, do not waste time and book your ticket online for EGP 100.

4.Taksir Sharqi

Newly-founded Taksir Sharqi will perform some of their traditional repertoires at Darb1718 Contemporary Art and Culture Center in Cairo, Saturday, 18 May.

Tickets to the musical show are available online for EGP 100. Taksir Sharqi was founded in 2017 as it presents works combining Egyptian folkloric music, such as "Zar" and "Mawwal," with contemporary music.

5.King Lear

The show of King Lear, starring Yehia El Fakharany, will continue at Cairo Festival City’s theater on May 17 at 22:00 CLT.
