European Univ. in Egypt, Spain’s UPC Ink Scientific Agreement

BARCELONA, Nov. 28 (SEE) – The European University in Egypt currently being established in the New Administrative Capital, signed a cooperation agreement with Spain’s Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) on giving the right for the European University to grant scientific degrees from the UPC in a number of specialties.

The scientific degrees include a bachelor of architectural studies, master degree in landscape architecture, master degree in architecture, master degree in advanced studies in architecture, and master degree in advanced studies in design.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Mahmoud Hashem, a representative of the European University in Egypt, Dr. Francesc Torres, the UPC rector, and Secretary-General of the Union for the Mediterranean Ambassador Nasser Kamal.

UPC is ranked amongst the world’s top 300 universities. It occupies the 275th place on the QS World University Rankings 2018. The UPC also occupies 120th in Europe, in Spain it is the sixth-ranked university overall and the top technical university, and in Catalonia, it holds third position.

 

The European university inked a number of scientific agreements and cooperation protocols such as London School of Economics and Political Science, Johannes Kepler University Linz of Austria, and University of Central Lancashire of Britain.

 

 

The signed agreements covers fields of energy engineering, artificial intelligence and robotics, hydraulic engineering, aerospace science, bioinformatics, molecular bioscience, nanoscience and technology.
