FEPS to Discuss Crises of European Integration

CAIRO, Dec. 12 (SEE) - As part of the discussion forums series organized by the Centre for Political Research and Studies and Intercultural Dialogue (CPRSID) at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science (FEPS), Cairo University, the Centre announced that it will hold a seminar titled "Europe at Crossroads: European Integration in the midst of Crises".

Deputy Director of CPRSID Dr. Mazen Hassan announced that the session will take place on Sunday December 16th, from 12:00 to 13:30 at FEPS.

The speakers who are scheduled to take to the floor include Professor Sally Khalifa Isaac, Cairo University and British University in Egypt, and Dr. Nikolaos Nikolakakis, an assistant professor at the British University in Egypt (BUE).

Speakers will address the various challenges facing the EU integration model, ranging from the financial and debt crises, the refugee crisis, and the rise of the far-right. The 2016 Global Strategy and subsequent transformations in the EU defense policies will also be focused on.

The session will be held in English. The video recording of the session will be posted on the Centre’s YouTube channel a few days after the event.
