Renowned Lebanese singer Majida El-Roumi held a charity concert in cooperation with Raie Misr non-profit organization, on the open stage of Cairo Festival City Mall in the fifth settlement.

Ahead of the concert, El-Roumi expressed her satisfaction to participate in such charitable contribution, which was dedicated to the impoverished villages in Upper Egypt. "My visit to Upper Egypt overwhelmed me, primarily because of the simplicity of its people, their firm belief and generosity," she said.

During the concert, she presented some of her most popular songs, including Hay Ala El Falah, Esmaa Alby, Ghani Lel Hob, Aam Yas'aluni, Eneik, Mata Ya'ati l'Masa'a, Matrahak Bi Albi, E'tazalt El Gharam, and Moftarak El Torok from her Movie Awdat al ibn al dal. "I do not like to sing Moftarak El Torok because, it reminds me of the Lebanese war, which was the worst memory of my life," she pointed out.

She also sang Ahlef Besamaha for late singer Abdel Halim Hafez.

The concert was attended by a number of celebrities including Actor Elham Shahin, film director Inas El-Degheidy Tamer Habib, television presenter Angie Ali, fashion designer Hany El Behairy, Hany Ramzy, and his brother Amir Ramzy, founder of the organization.
