BERLIN, Jan. 7 (SEE)- Egyptian Ambassador to Germany Badr Abdel Aati accompanied by the embassy's members participated on Sunday in a Christmas Mass at the Coptic Church in Berlin.

The Mass was presided over by Pope Gerges Al-Muharraqi, patron of the Coptic Church, who praised the Ambassador and the members of the Embassy for their keenness to attend Christmas celebrations with their Coptic brothers.

Al-Muharraqi also read the speech of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, which emphasizes the values of tolerance and love of the other.

On his part, Abdel Aati said that he is delighted to attend the Christmas Mass this year, which coincides with President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's inauguration of the largest Church in the Middle East, as well as Al-Fattah Al-Alem Mosque in the New Administrative Capital.

The Ambassador paid tribute to the martyrs of the armed forces, police and innocent Egyptian civilians, who lost their lives as a consequence of black terrorism.

"Terrorism increased our commitment to confront and eradicate it," he said

Abdel Aati conveyed Sisi's greetings to the Egyptian community in Germany on the occasion of Christmas, wishing them more success and prosperity.

The head of the Egyptian family house in Germany Alaa Thabet was also present at the Holy Mass.

Thabet said that his keenness to participate in such important religious event with Coptic brothers was to emphasize the strong relationship between Muslims and Copts on the one hand and to send a clear message to terrorist groups that their radical crimes will not spoil the eternal relationship between the two elements of the nation.
