Egyptian Ministers Madbouly, Sobhy Congratulate Salah

Birmingham, Jan. 9 (SEE)- Egyptian champion Mohamed Salah was named the best football player across Africa for 2018, on Tuesday evening, in a ceremony that was held by the Confederation of African Football, in the Senegalese capital of Dakkar.

This is the second consecutive year for Salah to achieve this prestigious title. On this occasion, Prime Minister and Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Mostafa Madbouly as well as Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Sobhy, congratulated Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, professional footballer at the English club Liverpool.

Sobhy utilized this opportunity to reveal a surprise about establishing a museum, carrying the name of the football champion, at El-Gezira Youth Center. On his part, Madbouly hailed Ashraf’s initiative.

The Minister of Sports hailed Salah’s performance, whether at the English club or at the Egyptian national football team, at various championships. He added that “throughout his professional career, Salah makes us all proud.”

In this regard Madbouly said, “For all youth who are dreaming of better future, Salah became an inspiration, not only in the sports field, but in all professional ones. The Egyptian footballer is one of Egypt’s soft powers and what he achieved made all Egyptians proud.”
