Egyptian - Made Electric Cars Ready for EVER Egypt 2019

CAIRO, Apr. 7 (SEE)- The Faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University announced that the EVER Egypt 2019 workshop was completed in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University and Dr. Mahmoud Saqr, President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology.

Ashour said that EVER Egypt is a competition that gives young Egyptian engineers the opportunity to challenge their artistic and creative skills in designing, building and developing the concept of the electric vehicle.

He added that the main task of this competition is to maximize the benefit of graduates of the Faculty of Engineering in multiple disciplines with the knowledge, practical skills, and experience necessary in the design, manufacture, operation, and maintenance of electric vehicles.

"This step is also aimed at creating the necessary human resources for the operation of the electric car industry in Egypt, as well as implementing the vision and directives of President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi to keep abreast of technological progress and will be the beginning of a major positive impact on the strategy of sustainable development." Ashour referred.

In the current season (EVER Egypt 2019), the number of participating teams is 31 teams from 31 Egyptian universities, namely the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, with its branches of Heliopolis and Smart Village, the Egyptian Academy of Engineering, the German University (GUC), the American University (AUC) The University of Alexandria, Zagazig University, Fayoum University, Cairo University, Cairo University, Cairo University, Cairo University, Mansoura University, Menoufia University, Ain Shams University, Suez Canal University, Kafr El-Sheikh University, Zewail City University of Science and Technology, Alexandria Higher Institute of Engineering and Technology, Modern Academy and Engineering, Helwan University, Helwan University Monofil Electronics.

The team is organized by the main researcher Dr. Majid Ghunaima, the main supervisor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz, Engineer Ali Hosny and Eng. Michael Sydney as the project managers.
