CAIRO, SEPTEMBER 8(SEE): Egypt squashed Niger with 6 clean goals in their second African Cup of Nations qualification match topping their group, followed by Tunisia, who have yet to play their second match of the qualifications.

Mohamed Salah wasted a penalty for Egypt early on into the match, before Marwan Mohsen scored the opening goal of the match in the 12th minute bracing the goal with a nice volley. Ayman Ashraf would soon score the second goal for his team, after his cross was deflected by Niger's defense. Mohamed Salah would then score Egypt's third goal in the 29th minute, after his second missed penalty was saved and rebounded by the goal keeper.

Egypt started the second half a little slower than the first, choosing to formulate calm and collected attacks instead of rushing forward like the first half. Salah Mohsen would then score Egypt's fourth goal in the 73rd minute. Salah would then return to score his second goal of the match and the fifth for Egypt, after converting Ahmed El-Mohammady's brilliant cross into a header. Mohamed El-Nenny finished Egypt's goal massacre by firing a shoot into the net in the 90th minute of the match, thus putting an end to Niger's misery.

The Egyptian team implemented a great attacking formation under new manager Javier Aguirre, Who looks to have a different approach to the team than former Manager Hector Cuper. Mohamed Salah played fairly well today and held his position in the attacking front, while also providing many precise passes to his team mates.

Egypt will await the result of Tunisia's next match against Swaziland, which will take place tomorrow, in order to determine their place in the group. Egypt's next match is scheduled to be against Swaziland on the 10th of October.
