Egypt launches a database of its scientists abroad

CAIRO, JULY 8 (SEE)

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, received on Sunday, Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Nabila Makram, at the Ministry's headquarters to publicize the "Egypt Can" association, through coordinating with Egyptian scientists abroad from different scientific disciplines during the coming period.

Abdel Ghaffar stressed the importance of benefiting from the expertise and competencies of the scientists abroad, through establishing a database that includes their scientific specialties in preparation for launching the "Egypt Can" association. He also directed the establishment of permanent and continues bridges of communication with the scientists in coordination with the State’s Sustainable Development Plan "Egypt’s Vision 2030".

For her part, Makram referred to the organization of three conferences entitled "Egypt can", which requires the preparation of a database of Egyptian scientists and experts abroad in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research; with the aim of selecting the members of the Board of Directors of the Association in preparation for its launching.

Minister of Youth Ashraf Subhy said the Egyptian youth is capable of assuming greater leadership roles, stressing the importance of providing all tools that help develop their skills, pointing out to the role of the Ministry in planning for the future and facing the current challenges.
