Planning Minister Hala el Saaed opened on Tuesday activities of the first edition of Egypt Government Excellence Conference 2018, with the United Arab Emirates participating.
This is the first step to implement a memorandum of understanding to modernize the government work. The MoU was signed by the Egyptian Planning Ministry and the UAE Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and the Future on the sidelines of the World Government Summit, which was held in Dubai on February 11-13.
The UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs & the Future Mohammed Al Gergawi is scheduled to deliver a speech at the conference's inaugural session.
The conference will focus on four main topics; government performance, efficiency and excellence, government capabilities, smart services and government stimulus.
The conference contributes to achieving a quantum leap in government services to translate the strategic sustainable development goals of "Sustainable Development Strategy (SDS): Egypt Vision 2030" into reality, Saaed said.
