Egypt Enters New Era in Higher Education in 2018

CAIRO, Dec. 29 (SEE) - In 2018, Egypt witnessed a great leap in the field of higher education by issuing a presidential decree no. 162/2018 on establishing branches of international universities in Egypt.

Such an achievement for the Ministry of Higher Education comes within a framework of Egypt Vision 2030.

The branches of the international universities which are supposed to be inaugurated here:

1- Coventry University: The British university will have a branch in Egypt, which is ranked as the 13th best University in the United Kingdom in The Guardian University Guide.

2- University of Canada: The new branch will grant bachelors degree from University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), Carleton University, and Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN).

3- The European University in Egypt (EUE): The new university will be located in New Administrative Capital to the east of Cairo with an area of approximately 340,000 m2. It signed cooperation protocols with the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, London School of Economics and Political Science, and Johannes Kepler University in Austria.

4- The university of applied sciences: An alliance of German universities agreed on setting up the first international applied sciences in Egypt in the administrative capital that will be opened in 2020.
