Dollar Ends Week with New Drop against EGP

The central bank's data showed a slide in the US dollar rates against the Egyptian pound by about 7 piastres during Thursday's trading.

The average price of the dollar, by the end of today's trading, stood at EGP 17.24 for sale and EGP 17.14 to purchase, compared to EGP 17.31 and EGP 17.21 yesterday.

The exchange rate in the National Bank of Egypt (NBE), the Arab African International Bank, the Housing & Development, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) and Al-Baraka banks reported EGP 17.25 for sale and EGP 17.15 to purchase.

However, rates in the Commercial International Bank (CIB), Alexandria, Suez Canal, and Credit Agricole recorded EGP17.24 for sale and EGP 17.14 to purchase.
