Culture Min. Attends Closing Ceremonies of Sharjah International Music Festival

CAIRO, Feb. 11 (SEE)- Minister of Culture Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem participated in the closing ceremony of Sharjah International Music Festival which was held at Morsi Al-Alam Theater.

The concert was animated by the songs of the late singer Warda , performed by the singer Marwa Naji accompanied and led by Maestro Mostafa Helmy. It included a number of the most famous songs by the late singer in which she cooperated with the top musicians and poets.

Abdel-Dayem said that such international forums are an affirmation of the artistic leadership of Egypt, adding that celebrating the symbols of music and singing is a reviving for heritage and it strengthens the values of preserving the Egyptian and Arab identity.

On her part, the artist Cihan Morsi, head of the Central Music Department of the Opera House, confirmed that the participation of the Arab Music Ensemble comes for three consequential years. The Ensemble took part in the first Edition by presenting a concert for the songs of the late Um Kulthum, and the Last year was a night for the late Abdel Halim Hafez.
