Culture Min., Al- Beheira's Governor Launch 4th Damanhour Book Fair

CAIRO, March 11 (SEE)- As new episode of enlightenment in the Egyptian Delta, Dr. Inas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture and Major General Hisham Amna, Governor of El Beheir, inaugurated the 4th edition of Damanhour Book Fair at the Egyptian Public Library.

The inauguration was attended by Dr. Nahal Bilbaa, Deputy Governor of El Beheir, Dr. Haytham Al- Haj, Head of the book Organization, Ahmed Awwad, Head of the Culture Palaces Organization, the great writer Yusuf Al-Qaid, leaders of the province and the executive and members of the House of Assembly.

During the press conference, Abdel-Dayem said that the Book Fairs , held in various provinces, aim at developing awareness and building human beings through reading as the most important sources of developing the mind and conscience.

The fair also acts as a resistance wall against intellectual extremism through, promotes positive values and noble principles and correct concepts.

The fair witnessed the participation of several sectors:- Al-Azhar Mosque, the Egyptian Church, Tourism, Antiquities in the province of El Beheira.

The minister praised the artistic quality of the exhibition and the spectacles presented-Corral Archi Angelos of the Church of the Angel Michael Damanhour and the religious songs that were mixed with the Coptic songs in reference to the unity of the Egyptian people.

Moreover, she thanked the governor for his support for culture in el Beheira.

On his part, the governor of el Beheira appreciated the ongoing efforts of culture in the province and praised everyone who participated in getting this edition to light. He stressed that the exhibition carries a message of brotherhood and rejects violence and extremism through Egypt's soft power.

Al- Haj said that this edition will continue until 16 March, and it is held in cooperation of 37 publishing houses. The edition is presenting a lot activities for children and people with special abilities.
