Cordon Bleu..Toothsome Layers of Cheese, Chicken, Smoked Meat

CAIRO, March 16 (SEE)- It’s a French dish preferred by many people world-wide; as its ingredients are quite dulcet.

Layers of cheese, chicken and smoked meat covered with the corn flakes golden crunchy layer are just perfect. Here’s the recipe.

Stuffing’s ingredients

500 gm chicken breast cut into 6 fine slices

1 tbsp powder onion

¼ tsp powder garlic

6 cheddar cheese slices

6 smoked meat slices

2 eggs

Salt, black pepper and flour, as desired

Outer layer’s ingredients

¼ cup white flour

½ cup corn flakes

2 tbsp maize flour

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp powder onion

¼ tsp powder garlic

Salt and pepper as desired

Oil for frying

Recipe

In a bowl, mix all the outer layer’s ingredients well and set aside.

In another bowl, whisk the 2 eggs with some black pepper and set aside.

Spice chicken slices with salt, pepper, powder onion and garlic.

After that, add over each chicken slice, one cheese slice, then one smoked meat.

Roll up chicken slice, then dip it in whisked eggs, then in the outer-layer-mixed ingredients and fix it with toothpicks.

Repeat the same process till all pieces are finished, then refrigerate them for at least 30 minutes.

In a deep frying pan, heat up oil well, fry cordon blue pieces till getting a golden color.

For garnishing, add cheese sauce with some chopped parsley on its top.
