CAIRO, Sept. 30 (SEE) – Debut concert by Mosaic Ensemble will take place on Monday 1 October at the American University in New Cairo. Mosaic was founded by Amr Abulnaga, who will also direct the concert.
It ensemble line-up includes Amr Abulnaga "French horn", Alaa Saber "oud and qanun", Mahmoud Mekhemer "piano" and Ahmad Osman "double bass" .
The aim of the ensemble is to create a new musical dialogue between French horn and instruments characteristic to Arabic music: "oud'' and "Qanun'', all accompanied by piano, percussion and double base.
