CAIRO, Nov. 24 (SEE) – The State Ministry of Immigration and Expatriates’ Affairs applauded the initiative of one of the Egyptian citizens living in Abu Dhabi who donated ten kidney dialysis units to the Kidney Dialysis Department at 'Deerib Najm' Central Hospital in Sharkia governorate.

Mid-September, the hospital witnessed death of three patients and injury of 33 others while undergoing a dialysis session, according to a statement by the Attorney General.

For her part, Immigration Minister Nabila Makram communicated with the donor, who asked to be anonymous, to know more about the hospital’s needs.

“Insisting on keeping his name hidden shows how this citizen is humble,” Makram added. “He only seeks to help and back his country by any means.”

The minister affirmed that Egyptian expats are keen on supporting their homeland.
