CAIRO, Jan. 21 (SEE)- Angelina Jolie is not just a star, actress, producer and director in Hollywood who earned lots of valuable awards, but also a loving mother, a humanist, and a brave woman.

Jolie didn't reach this stage smoothly, and despite passing through many hard times, the only secret behind her unique and effective Charisma, was her decision to live a meaningful life that is helpful to others.

That choice was sufficient enough to transform her life from a miserable child to a role model and impressive figure worldwide, specifically for women.

Childhood full of hardships

Despair and negativity, are the exact words to describe Jolie’s childhood, as her parents’ got porced a year after she was born, and in an advanced age, she suffered constant bullies, because of being too skinny and gloomy in other’s perspective; this drove her to withdraw gradually from public gatherings.

In her early teens, she was expelled out of her school after being emotionally destroyed.

Jolie started a hard struggle with loneliness, insomnia, eating disorder, and began to have aggressive tendencies towards her-self.

And as a clear sign of hopelessness, Jolie had two unsuccessful suicide attempts, on the other hand she was taking drugs, led her to an advanced stage of depressive episode.

Talented Artist

Despite this darkness, Jolie was a very talented artist; she began acting in a young age, besides studying at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute while in her early teens.

After that, she became a popular actress who was given leading roles in various films, and obtained successive awards like, Golden Globe awards, Academy award as a best supporting actress, Academy award for the best actress, Screen Actors Guild Awards, and many other ones.

Turning Point

“A single journey can change a course of a life” this is what Jolie said, after travelling to Cambodia in late nineties for filming, and rather having the most important experience in her life-time.

In this war-torn country, she entered, for the first time, refugees’ camps where she met real victims of war, famines and rapes.

She opened her eyes on a completely different suffering, and began to realize her responsibility towards others.

Since that time, Jolie started to visit war zones around the world, providing educational and medical facilities to the needy, besides supporting several charities; calling for peace humanity and justice.

Moreover, this visit taught her how to appreciate blessings and being grateful for simple pleasures that many people don’t even see like, food, peace, shelter and family gatherings.

As a result of her efforts, Jolie was named as a Goodwill Ambassador for Refugees by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugee, and also received the Global Humanitarian Action Award from the United Nations Association of the USA.

Lovely Mother

Jolie has six kids; Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh,Vivienne and Knox, but only three of them are her biological children, however Madox, Pax and Zahra were adopted from orphanages in Cambodia, Ethiopia and Vietnam.

Strong Jolie

Jolie took a brave decision after knowing that she is carrying (BRCA1) gene, which increases the risk of both breast and ovarian cancer, and was the reason behind her mother’s death.

In 2013, she had completed several months of medical procedures, including a double mastectomy and reconstruction surgery, at the Pink Lotus Breast Center in California.

In two years, she declared her ovaries and fallopian tubes removal as well, not only to keep her-self away from cancer, but also to give a hand for women at risk, by showing them a different way to protect them-selves.
