After an even match, Croatia defeats Russia and heads on to face England

Croatia defeated World Cup 2018 hosts Russia via penalty shootouts to earn their place in the semi finals to face England in is sure going to be a great match up.

Hosts Russia got alot further than many football spectators predicted, but their courageous journey came to an end at the hand of the Croatians. Russia and Croatia drew 1-1 and the match had to be taken into extra time. Denis Cheryshev scored the opener for Russia in the 31st minute, Kramaric would then equalize for Croatia in the 39th minute.

The second half was goaless, with Croatia having the slight advantage constantly attacking, but failed to capitalize their attacks into goals. The match would then head on two extra time. With Vida scoring for Croatia 5 minutes into extra time, and Fernandes equalizing for Russia in the 115 minute.

The match would then head to penalties which Croatia won with four goals to three.
