ACA Cooperates with Foreign Authorities to Fight Corruption

Egyptian Administrative Control Authority and United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) are cooperating to activate memorandum of understanding (MOU) about exchanging experiences to fight corruption related to emigration and customs.

CAIRO, Dec.12 (SEE)- Egyptian Administrative Control Authority (ACA) and United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) are cooperating to activate memorandum of understanding (MOU) about exchanging experiences to fight corruption related to emigration and customs.

This step came as the second phase of national strategy to combat corruption is being launched.

Head of the ACA General Sherif Seif El-Din received on Tuesday the DHS’ Secretary Kristjen Nielsen, along with the delegation that accompanied her at the ACA’s headquarters.

At the meeting they talked about the MOU, signed between both parts on exchanging experiences and information to curb corruption in both fields: illegal immigration and customs evasion. The meeting was attended by the ACA’s officials.

On the other hand, Seif El-Din also received the Romanian National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) that is visiting Egypt.

Both sides discussed methods of joint cooperation to prevent corruption. The ACA’s efforts in this regard were reviewed.
